A monograph updates data on disinfection byproducts generated by chlorine in the water

Rafael J. García-Villanova, professor at the University of Salamanca, has spent more than two decades studying the formation of molecules in chlorinated water, potentially hazardous to human health.

Rafael J. García-Villanova, a professor of Nutrition and Bromatology at the University of Salamanca, has published his work on ‘Chlorine-Disinfection Byproducts in water’ in which he analyzes how chlorine reacts with the organic material naturally present in water, giving rise to potentially toxic molecules.
