The USAL Science Park has become one of the main drivers of research and employment in the province. This is highlighted by the report published by El Día de Salamanca. It forms the link between the scientific university environment and the industrial fabric of Salamanca, through the connections between the university, business and the public administrations. More than one million euros obtained as revenue from technology transfer projects is further proof of the significant growth of the facilities, which have far exceeded the number of workers that are housed in it.

The report also argues that the Science Park is one of the five academic institutions in Spain with the highest transfer of knowledge induced by research projects worth 13.5 million euros in 2016. In addition to mentioning the number of companies installed in the Villamayor Campus, El Día of Salamanca mentions the role of the Park as an entrepreneurial incubator, linked to a plan in which an ecosystem of open knowledge is being built that attracts young entrepreneurs, startups, mentors, investors, as well as large and medium-sized communication enterprises.
