ABSAL Organizes the Inaugural Competition of Scientific Culture and Dissemination

Schools of the province will come together in the final taking place tomorrow, Friday the 24th of March, in the Biology Faculty.

 

The Biotechnology Association of Salamanca has organized the Inaugural Competition of Scientific Culture and Education with the aim of promoting science and, more specifically, Biotechnology. The competition is aimed at students from the final year of Compulsory Secondary School and the first year of Upper Secondary School from the Province of Salamanca and is divided into two parts: one concerned with education and the other with scientific culture. Within the context of the former, the pupils will form groups of 3 or 4 to present an educational video lasting 5 minutes. In the second part, the teams will participate in a question and answer round on the themes of general science and biotechnology.

The competition final will take place tomorrow, Friday the 24th of March, in the Biology Faculty, specifically in the Lecture Hall in the Discórides Building, and will begin at 3.30pm.

6 teams from two of the province’s schools will participate and a total of more than 20 pupils will demonstrate their knowledge in different scientific fields.
