“Bibliometrics and its usefulness in the measurement of research activity”

Bibliometrics is a fundamental tool for the analysis of scientific activity in general and research in particular.

The University of Salamanca has organized the seminar entitled “Bibliometrics and its usefulness in the measurement of research activity,” especially useful for all those who, directly or indirectly, are dedicated to managing the scientific performance of an institution and its researchers. Knowledge of bibliometrics facilitates the development of appropriate scientific policy strategies, as well as procedures to improve their impact and visibility. This course is aimed at Research Managers, librarians and researchers interested in scientific policy strategies and their impact in different areas.

The course is free and has been organized Clarivate Analitic and the Observatory of Bibliometrics and Scientific Research (OBIC) (Observatorio de Bibliometría y de Investigación Científica) of the University of Salamanca and will be held on May 31 in the Faculty of Translation and Documentation of the University of Salamanca from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
