Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez opened the proceedings and shared his experience in overseeing two individual fellowships granted in the 2015 call. Jesús Rojo presented the Aid Scheme 2016 and offered advice for preparing a successful submission. Tianchen Li explained the benefits of the Marie Sklodowska Individual Fellowship from the perspective of a researcher. Finally, Carlos Hernández spoke about his experience as a fellowship recipient and talked about the different phases of the process: from preparing the proposal to enjoying and justifying the financial assistance, and including the evaluation process of all applicants.

The Marie Sklodowska Individual Fellowships provide researchers who either have a doctorate or a minimum of 4 years research experience (prior to the application deadline) with the opportunity to enjoy a post-doctorate stay of one or two years in a European Country or outside of Europe. This aid scheme represents a great opportunity to continue with a research career with a highly prestigious aid programme.
