Salamanca will host the Tenth Pharmaceutical Conference of Castile & Leon

With the slogan ‘TU FARMACIA .es TU SALUD’ (YOUR PHARMACY is YOUR HEALTH), the conference will focus on what technologies contribute to pharmacies and how they can help to improve our health.

Next 25 and 26 May, 2017, the city of Salamanca will host the Tenth Pharmaceutical Conference of Castile & Leon  for pharmaceutical professionals, organized by the Council of Professional Pharmacists’ Associations of Castile & Leon, which is returning to the charra capital after having rotated every two years to one of the nine provinces comprising our Autonomous Community.

This encounter will put up for discussion our approaches and concerns about current topics affecting the profession and will confront the aspects that most concern us, building proposals to allow us to advance towards what we all want for the future of pharmacists in our region.

To this end, the Organizing Committee has drawn up a scientific programme that will motivate reflection about the perception of pharmacy/pharmacies, about who we are and what we can contribute to citizens’ health; about how we wish to orientate our growth and what health fields we wish to develop; what the new technologies applied to pharmacy can contribute; and how that can help optimize our work; the standardization of the electronic prescription in our Autonomous Community as the first step towards interoperability; the new health services that we wish to explore; the importance of excellence in university training to forge leading professionals; and the importance of research and drug safety, among many other topics.
