The King and Queen of Spain visit the stand of the University of Salamanca at the Book Fair in Madrid

The Vice-Chancellors for the Commemoration of the Eighth Centenary and for Research and Transfer, respectively, and the Director of Salamanca University Press, inaugurated the stand pertaining to the Studium of Salamanca.

The King and Queen of Spain visited the stand of the University of Salamanca during the inauguration of the Madrid Book Fair this morning. Mariano Esteban, Vice-Chancellor for the Commemoration of the Eighth Centenary; Juan Manuel Corchado, Vice-Chancellor for Research and Transfer, and Eduardo Azofra, Director of Salamanca University Press, informed Don Felipe and Dona Letizia of the most important editorial novelties in the catalog of the university publishing house.

The University of Salamanca will be present at the Madrid Book Fair from today until its closure, on June 11, in order to publicize the commemoration of the Eighth Centenary of its foundation in 2018, through the publications of its Press, Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca, and various initiatives developed by its Cultural Activities Service.

As part of this important cultural event, the University of Salamanca plans to present two of its books as well as the awards ceremony for “Leeureka! First  Ibero-American Book Award for Children” during the morning of Wednesday, May 31, from 12 to 2 pm in the Pavilion of Cultural Activities.
