The University of Salamanca and Viewnext Create a Special Chair in Agile Methodologies

The Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Transfer of the University of Salamanca, Juan Manuel Corchado, and the General Director of Viewnext, José María Pascual, have presented this initiative linked to the Department of Informatics and Automation.

The Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Transfer of the University of Salamanca, Juan Manuel Corchado, and the General Director of Viewnext, José María Pascual, have presented the Viewnext-USAL Special Chair in Agile Methodologies”, as part of the Department of Informatics and Automation of the Faculty of Sciences. The launch of this new Chair was held in the U-Talent Hub of the Science Park in Villamayor, where Viewnext has one of its Innovation Centres.

Viewnext and the University of Salamanca created this Special Chair upon entering into an agreement which reflects the intention of both institutions to promote research, development, and the dissemination of knowledge in the field of agile methodologies for project development and management, particularly in reference to agile implementation models in large organizations and integration with other quality standards. These methodologies contribute flexibility, quick response times, and deliver value, in line with the new expectations of users and the demands of the marketplace, which mean that companies must adapt their ways of working and managing projects.
