USAL formally opens the new Animal Behaviour Unit of the Nucleus Service for Research Support

The platform located in the IBFG offers researchers an accredited service for these types of studies and is the only one of its kind in Castile & Leon.

The University of Salamanca presented to the public the installations of its new Animal Behaviour Unit  (UCA), part of the Animal Experimentation Service of the Nucleus Service for Research Support. The unit, located in the Institute for Functional and Genomic Biology (IBFG, a USAL/CSIC mixed centre) and already up and running, has been co-financed by USAL and Spain’s Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO), which in the frame of its call for aid applications for the acquisition of scientific-technical equipment has contributed 80% of the total investment of €321,449.81.
